Are you an investor looking to get involved?
Connecting you with start-ups and scale-ups across the UK.
How do we process our applicants?
We use a three-step application process to ensure we’re bringing only the best start-ups and scale-ups from across the UK your way.
Application Form
Founders complete a lengthy application form and submit an investment deck outlining their business and funding round. Industry experts filter the applications to select the best 24 from each region.
Semi-Finals
The chosen 24 are invited to pitch at a virtual semi-final event within their region. Here, they present to a panel of investor judges who provide feedback to the founder and collectively choose the final 12.
Regional Finals
The regional finals are in-person events where investors can attend to watch the 12 finalists pitch. Connection requests from attending investors will decide the final four that make it through to the London Finale.
Grand Finale
The final 12 businesses from across the UK will pitch at a London Grand Finale. Both UK-based and international investors can attend this event and will be allowed to vote for the Britain’s Got Startups 2025 winner.
Our goal
We want to connect you with the best start-ups and scale-ups the nation has to offer.
The Regional Finals will be held in:
Edinburgh (Scotland)
Sheffield (North and Midlands)
Oxford (East and South-East)
Bristol (South-West and Wales)
With a Grand Finale, the ‘Battle of Britain’, to be held in London; where we will host the best businesses from each region.
As a UK-based investor, to attend our Grand Finale in London, you will need to have attended at least one of the Regional Finals.

What type of businesses are pitching?
Britain’s Got Startups is an industry-agnostic event series so you can expect to see a variety of businesses pitching. Our focus is on tech-enabled start-ups and scale-ups from pre-seed to Series B.
However, we have seen brilliant businesses pitch from a range of industries. These include EdTech, FinTech, AgriTech, AI Technology, Sustainability Tech, Security and Construction - to name a few!
