Scotland Regional Final: Kicking Off the Series in Style!
On Thursday 23 January, we kicked off the 2025 Britain’s Got Startups event series in Edinburgh - and what a day it was!
Held at CodeBase, next door to the iconic Edinburgh Castle, the event couldn’t have had a better setting. A huge thank you to our Scottish event partner CodeBase, for welcoming us into their fantastic space, which provided the perfect backdrop for a day packed with creativity and connection.
Delivered by CodeBase on behalf of the Scottish Government, Techscaler is Scotland's leading programme for building, developing, and scaling tech startups. They provide tailored support for individuals and teams at every stage of their entrepreneurial journey, offering access to quality education, expert mentorship, vibrant peer-led communities, and flexible workspaces across Scotland. By connecting founders with experienced operators, proven playbooks, and relevant events, they empower startups to thrive – a very fitting mission for Britain’s Got Startups!
From the very first pitch to the final round of applause, the energy in the room was brilliant. Every founder who took the stage brought their A-game, showcasing just how much talent Scotland has to offer. Whether it’s groundbreaking tech, sustainable solutions, or revolutionary products, the pitches were next level.
Scotland, you’ve outdone yourself!
But the day didn’t end with the pitches. After the competition, we headed to The Caledonian for an exclusive Investor Dinner - a perfect chance to unwind, chat, and connect in a quieter setting. Conversations flowed and it was a privilege to hear stories and exchange ideas with everyone face-to-face.
Of course, we couldn’t have pulled off such an incredible event without the support of our sponsors. A huge shoutout to British Business Bank, Beauhurst, Abstract Group, Novus Capital and NOTWICS – you make it all possible.
We couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick-off this year’s series. To everyone who joined us - thank you. To the founders who poured their hearts into their pitches - you’ve set a high standard for the rest of the regions, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for you.
Next stop: North & Midlands! If it’s anything like Edinburgh, we’re in for another treat.
